These tostadas are the easiest meal you’ll ever make. They are very simple, satisfying and healthy.
The most important thing here is definitely the tomatillo avocado salsa. This salsa or spread is what makes the tostada so satisfying.
You don’t have to cook anything for this recipe so try to use vegetables that are fresh. Remember that the quality of your ingredients is very important to deliver good flavors.
Fresh tomatillos have a soft, bright green husk. Older tomatillos have the husk dry and brown. In this picture you can see both. If available, try to always pick the greenest you can find.
Tips:
- Fresher tomatillos taste better and are not as bitter older ones.
- Most of the spiciness in a chile resides in the pith and the seeds. You can control the spiciness by removing them or using the whole pepper.
